Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 & 2 to consider his claims and grant pension to him as per the Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.756 Revenue Department dated 17.08.1993 and grant arrears of pension with effect from 01.06.2014. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in this regard the petitioner has given a representation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
dated 12.04.2017 to the respondents. However, the respondents have not passed any order so far.
4.Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 submitted that the respondents may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks.
5.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2017 and pass orders in the light of the Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.756 Revenue Department dated 17.08.1993, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
