This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to register the case and investigate the complaint dated 30.04.2019 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Central Bureau of Investigation, Economic Offence Wing, Rajaji Bhavan, Besant Nagar, Chennai.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given a complaint against Ashishmetha and Officials of the Bangalore National Highways authority for having misappropriated the compensation award in respect of acquired land by fabrication of documents. He would submit that he has given a complaint to the second respondent on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

30.04.2019 and since no action has been taken, he has approached this Court seeking direction to the respondent to register the case and investigate the complaint dated 30.04.2019.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Public Prosecutor would submit that the complaint dated 30.04.2019 of Shri D.Navakodinarayanan/petitioner against Ashishmetha was closed and returned to the complainant on 12.06.2019 as the CBI has no jurisdiction to act on a complaint lodged by a private person against another private person. In this regard, the complainant has been advised to approach the local Police. He would further submit that the same has also been intimated to the petitioner by letter dated 12.06.2019 under reference No.C6/CA E0070/2019/317.
