ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to clear the premises and hand over vacant possession of the daily flower market more fully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition in favour of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2026.

2. According to the petitioner, though he was a successful bidder in the auction conducted in the flower market more fully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition by having paid a sum of Rs.4,18,70,000/- to the respondent, till date, the respondent has not put in possession of the premises in favour of the petitioner to enable the petitioner to run his business. According to the petitioner, due to unauthorised occupation of certain persons in the flower market, the petitioner is unable to run his business as awarded to him through the auction conducted by the respondent. The petitioner had given a representation dated 09.04.2026 to the respondent requesting them to hand over vacant possession of the flower market to the petitioner by removing the unauthorised occupants. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.Abishek Murthy, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. On instructions, he would submit that the respondent is making every effort to remove the unauthorised occupants from the flower market, which has been allotted to the petitioner in the auction conducted by the respondent. He would submit that within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, the representation of the petitioner, which is the subject matter of this writ petition, will be considered by the respondent.

For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2026 requesting the respondent to remove the unauthorised occupants in the subject flower market within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction.
