Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to recognize the petitioner as a member of the Sathanur Reservoir Share Fishermen Co-operative Sale Society Ltd., by operation of the second proviso of Clause 2(i) of Section 21 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 and consequently collect the membership fees and provide the petitioner all the rights and benefits available to a member. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to recognize the petitioner as a member of the Sathanur Reservoir Share Fishermen Co-operative Sale Society Ltd., by operation of the second proviso of Clause 2(i) of Section 21 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and consequently collect the membership fees and provide the petitioner all the rights and benefits available to a member.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that after filing the present writ petition, the petitioner had also filed another petition in W.P.No.30153 of 2013 for the same prayer, and by order dated 17.07.2014, this Court disposed of the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Appellate authority. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

3. In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
