ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.3/2023 on the file of the respondent police within a time frame as may be stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen from the records that originally the case was registered in Crime No.9 of 2023 on 11.01.2023 by the Inspector of Police, Latheri Police Station, Vellore for the offence under Section 302 IPC and subsequently, it was transfered to the CBCID/respondent herein and renumbered as Crime No.3/2023 on 29.09.2023 itself. However, till now, the respondent police have not completed the investigation and filed the charge sheet. Therefore, the petitioner is constrained to file this petition seeking direction to file final report.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the 2/5

respondent police submitted that after the transfer of this case, the respondent police have recorded statements from some of the witnesses and collected documents and seeks some more time to file the final report.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file the charge sheet within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
