O R D E R
The petitioner has challenged the order of suspension dated 18.07.2018 on the point of jurisdiction.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would point out that, as against the impugned order, there is a provision for appeal to be filed before the Joint Commissioner of HR & CE Department.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has expressed an apprehension that if the appeal is filed, it will take much time for disposal, which would be a punishment to the petitioner herein. Under the said circumstance, there is an undertaking by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent that the appeal, if filed, would be disposed of, as quickly as possible.
5. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the case, the following order is passed:- "In the event of an appeal being filed by the petitioner, the concerned authority is directed to dispose of the appeal as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of four weeks from the date of filing of the Appeal."
6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected WMP is closed. 06.12.2018 srk To
