ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to take further action based on the proceeding in Moo.Mo. 7278/ 2025/ A6 dated 17.02.2026 on the file of 1st respondent.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that initially the petitioner has given a representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer / 2nd respondent for sub-diving the property. The 2nd respondent, after conducting enquiry, sent a report to the Tahsildar to pass appropriate orders with regard to the sub-division. Since the 2nd respondent has not taken any steps, the present writ petition is filed.

3. The learned counsel for the official respondents would submit that in the present case, since the enquiry was conducted and report has also been filed, they are in the process of passing orders on the petitioner's application for subdivision.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the official respondents.

5. In view of the submissions made, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to make suitable steps to sub-divide the property based on the enquiry report of

the 1st respondent and pass appropriate orders for sub-division, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
