Respondents PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2015 made to the respondents to give compensation of Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees six lakhs) to the petitioner for delaying the pensioner health fund scheme from 01.05.2011 to August 2014 and pensioner book till August 2014.

By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has retired from the services of the Treasuries and Accounts Department as an Accountant on 30.04.2011 and only after a lapse of three years and four months, the pensionary benefits have been settled. In this regard, he submitted a representation dated 16.09.2015 praying for compensation of Rs.6.00 lakhs for denying the Tamil Nadu https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pensioner health fund scheme from May, 2011 to August, 2014. Since no orders have been passed, the petitioner came forward to file this Writ Petition.

3. This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider the the representation of the petitioner dated 16.09.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
