The petitioners have come forward with this petition to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioners in Crime No.32 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is seen that the son of the 1st petitioner, by name, Artharkumar seems to have eloped with a minor girl by name Vennila on 02.02.2015 and on the complaint lodged by the parents of Vennila, the police have registered a case in Crime No.32 of 2015 for offence under Section 366 IPC and investigation is going on.

4. It is to be pointed out that neither Vennila nor Artharkumar has been secured. Under such circumstances, it is imperative to the police to call these petitioners for enquiry in order to find out the whereabouts of Vennila and Artharkumar. Accordingly, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioners could be given. If the petitioners are wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, they can very well be summoned by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent police, and while doing so, the petitioners shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioners should submit themselves to the respondent police for interrogation and enquiry. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
