ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to rectify the error that has crept in the FMB sketch as per the rectification dated 22.07.2024 registered as Document No.2727/2024 based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2025.

Heard Mr. A. Arun Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. P. Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

It is seen from the records that pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2025, the second respondent has called for a report from the third respondent through a communication dated 22.01.2025. After the report is received, necessary correction in the FMB sketch can be done only after getting the approval of the Director of Survey and Settlement. Hence, it will take some more time for the respondents to carry out the necessary corrections in the FMB sketch. In the light of the above discussion, there shall be a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to act upon the petitioner's application and take a final decision within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
