ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to 3rd respondent is dispensed with. 2.The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent herein to dispose the appeal dated 04.03.2025 filed by the petitioner for deleting the name of the 3rd Respondent in Patta No.654 issued by the 2nd Respondent in accordance with law, within a stipulated period.

3.It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that the land comprised in S.F.No.114/11B measuring an extent of 0.25.5 hectare and bearing Patta No.654 belonged to petitioner's father Muthusamy. The petitioner's father by way of a Settlement Deed dated 14.04.2023, settled the above mentioned property in favour of petitioner and the said 2/6

Settlement Deed was registered as Document No.2295/2023 before the SRO Attur. Ever since settlement, petitioner has been in absolute possession of the said property. It is further submitted that the petitioner filed an appeal on 04.03.2025 seeking deletion of 3rd respondent's name in Patta No.654. However, the said appeal has not been considered so far by 1st respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition.

4.At the outset, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents would submit that they would consider and dispose of the appeal, in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, 3rd respondent and any other interested persons/stake holders, as expeditiously as possible. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the appeal and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the 3/6

same on its own merits and in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.
