No.17672 of 2018: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to prepare a separate Minority (Linguistic) Merit List for the students seeking admission in the respective minority institutions in the order of merits for the State Quota as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in W.P. (Civil) No.267/2017, thereby enabling the petitioner to get admitted in the 4th respondent institution for the MBBS course under Government quota.

Govt Pleader for R1 to R3 COMMON ORDER When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that pursuant to interim directions given by this Court on 24.08.2018, the relief sought for in these writ petitions have been granted to the petitioners for getting admission in the M.B.B.S. Course and they are now pursuing final year in M.B.B.S. Course.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners in both writ petitions conceded with the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents..

3. In view of the fact that the prayer sought for has already been granted in favour of the petitioners by the respondents, no further orders are required to be passed in these writ petitions. Accordingly, both these writ petitions are closed as having become infructuous. However, this order shall not be treated as a precedent for claiming similar relief. No costs.
