Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the Petitioner's Appeal Petition dated 31.07.2014 followed by reminder dated 11.11.2017 against the order of removal from service dated 02.07.2014 so as to enable the petitioner to avail all the benefits under compulsory/Voluntary Retirement Scheme within a time to be stipulated by this Court. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's Appeal Petition dated 31.07.2014 followed by reminder dated 11.11.2017 against the order of removal from service dated 02.07.2014 so as to enable the petitioner to avail all the benefits under compulsory/Voluntary Retirement scheme.

2. Mr.P.R.Dhilipkumar, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up and disposed of at the stage of admission itself.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that against https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the order of dismissal from service, the petitioner preferred an Appeal Petition dated 31.07.2014 before the respondent. As the same was pending, the petitioner sent a reminder dated 11.11.2017 to the respondent. But, no order has been passed till date. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.

5. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in seeking counter affidavit from the respondent.

6. In view of the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the Appeal Petition filed by the petitioner before the respondent on 31.07.2014, followed by reminder on 11.11.2017, against the order of dismissal from service,on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court has expressed no opinion on the merits of the representation. No costs.
