ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to produce Mrs.Arulmozhi, aged 38 years, wife of the petitioner, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her wife Arulmozhi went to work on 22.03.2021 and thereafter, her whereabouts are not known. The petitioner's further grievance is that the police are not taking steps to secure her wife.

3. On instructions, learned Government Advocate [crl.side] submits that, on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Perambur P.S.Crime No.224 of 2021 for "woman missing" was registered and investigation is in progress.

4. In view of the above, we direct the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mayiladuthurai, to monitor the investigation in Perambur P.S.Crime No.224 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate I, Mayiladuthurai, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders. With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of.
