.. Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd and 4th respondents to claim and disburse the General Provident Fund amount to the petitioner for the period from 19.12.1996 to 20.11.2012.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though she has worked between 19.12.1996 and 20.11.2012 as Secondary Grade Teacher/B.T. Assistant [Tamil Pandit], the General Provident Fund, due and payable to her, have not been settled. In this regard, she has also submitted a representation dated 18.04.
2013 to the 4th respondent and since no orders have been passed, she came forward to file this writ petition. This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Vijayshankar, learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, permits the petitioner to submit one more representation by enclosing a copy of this order as well as the copy of the earlier representation dated 18.04.
2013 to the 4th respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the 4th respondent, on receipt of the same, is directed to consider and dispose of the said representation on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a further period of eight weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the 2nd respondent herein.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
