Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to take appropriate action to remove the encroachments in the property belonging to the Railway adjoining the Integral Railway Lawn Club, Cub Lawn Car Parking area Field No.608, Ayanavaram, Chennai 600 023 and direct the Respondents to take possession of the said land within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed to seek a direction on the respondents to take appropriate action to remove the encroachment on the property belonging to the Railways.

2. Learned counsel for the Railways submits that action has already been initiated to remove the encroachment.

3. In view of the above, nothing survives for consideration in the writ petition. However, action for removal of encroachment if any, should be completed by the Railways at the earliest.
