This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents police not to harass the petitioners without due process of law.

2. Heard Mr.D.Bennington, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. Today when the petition came up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents made a submission that in an earlier occasion, upon the complaint given by one Ranjith, the second respondent police initiated an enquiry in CSR.No.182 of 2020 and after due enquiry, the same has been closed on 10.09.2020. According to her, as of now, no petition / no enquiry is pending against these petitioners. The said submission is recorded.

4. In view of the above, in the absence of any complaint against these petitioners, there shall not be any necessity for the police officers to call the petitioners for the purpose of enquiry.

5. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
