This application has been filed to condone the delay of 1032 days in filing the written statement in C.S.No.392 of 2019.

2. Though the learned counsel for the applicant has stated various reasons for the delay in filing the written statement, the same are not sufficient to condone the huge delay.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent submitted that since there is huge delay in filing the written statement, the application may be allowed subject to payment of costs.

4. Though the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit are not satisfactory, however, in the interest of justice and in order to give opportunity to the parties, the application is allowed on payment of costs of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) to Tamil Nadu Legal Services Authority on or before 05.08.2022 .
