The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 06.05.2022 for the offence punishable under Sections 465, 467, 468, 471, 420, 472 of IPC in crime No.2 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2. It is the case of the prosecution that the complaint has been lodged by one, Dharaneeswaran, Deputy Director, O/o. Advocate General of Tamilnadu, High Court of Madras alleging that the accused persons created, forged the documents and committed cheating by issuing fake appointment orders in the name of the Office of Advocate General of Tamilnadu, High Court of Madras. On investigation, it was found that fake appointment orders were created and issued in the name of Registrar General of Madras High Court and the Office of Advocate General by using their signatures and seals. Hence, the case.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that no victim lodged any complaint and only on the complaint lodged by the Deputy Director of Office of the learned Advocate General, High Court of Madras, FIR has been registered. The petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on

06.05.2022. Hence, he seeks for grant of bail to the petitioner.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor filed objection and it revealed that the petitioner fabricated appointment order and forged the signature of the Registrar General of High Court of Madras along with designation of Chief Justice of this Court. The petitioner also fabricated the seal of this Court and utilized in the fake appointment orders. Further, the petitioner appointed agents and all the accused collected Rs.6,00,000/- from each victim and took Rs.4,00,000/- and remaining amount as commission to the agents, those approached the persons for fake appointment as Magisterial Clerk at the High Court of Madras, thereby the petitioner and others have cheated to the tune of Rs.5,00,00,000/- from several victims.

5. Therefore, the petitioner has committed very serious offence as against the society, that too, fabricated the seal of this Court and forged the signature of the Registrar General of this Court and this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
