ORDER
This application is filed to permit the learned Administrator General and Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu ("AG & OT" for brevity) to purchase one unit of Hormone Analyzer Equipment at a total cost of Rs.27,37,600/- from M/s.Dhivyanaga Enterprises, No.38, Ganapathy 2 nd Street, Avvai Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai 600 041, for the benefit of patients at Virudhunagar, Government Medical College Hospital, Virudhunagar, from the accumulated funds that corresponds to Financial year 2020-21 and which belong to Trust Estate of Nagai Visalakshi Ammal.
2.A report is filed by the learned AG & OT stating that the Dean of Virudhunagar Government Medical College Hospital has submitted a request letter, dated 18.04.2025, for donation of a Hormone Analyzer equipment for the use in their laboratory. Along with the request, the technical specifications of
the equipment and the justification for getting the equipment is given. From the representation of the Dean, it is seen that the Hormone Analyzer equipment is essentially required for conducting certain hormone tests which would be very useful in the process of diagnosis and for treatment. The proposed equipment will help to cater service to patients of various Departments like OG, pediatrics, orthapaedics, General Medicine, General Surgery, etc., and patients who are undergoing treatment in ICU Wards. The equipment is manufactured by M/s.Hitachi Hitech Corporation and the Dean has also produced the quotation from a reputed supplier of medical equipments M/s.Roche Diagnostics India Pvt. Ltd. As per the quotation, the cost of equipment was Rs.28,91,000/- inclusive of GST.
It is learnt that the learned AG & OT has negotiated with the authorised distributor for certain discount and the revised offer with discount in price for the equipment is Rs.27,37,600/-, which includes 1.5 Ton Air Conditioner with Stabilizer, 3 KVA online UPS with built-in battery and all other accessaries, Cobas E-411 machine stand with GST. On enquiry, it appears that the learned AG & OT is convinced that the equipment is one of the best machines in its category and its durability and utility are more attractive.
learned AG & OT, in his report, has also indicated that the donation can be given from the accumulated funds of Nagai Visalakshi Ammal Trust. Therefore, this Court, going through the materials, is convinced that the equipment referred to is one of the important Hormone Analyzer and will serve the public if it is installed in Virudhunagar Government Medical College Hospital. 3.Therefore, this application is allowed and the learned AG & OT is permitted to purchase one unit of Hormone Analyzer Equipment at a total cost of Rs.27,37,600/- from M/s.Dhivyanaga Enterprises, No.38, Ganapathy 2 nd Street, Avvai Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai 600 041, for the benefit of patients at Virudhunagar, Government Medical College Hospital, Virudhunagar, from the accumulated funds that corresponds to Financial year 2020-21 and which belong to Trust Estate of Nagai Visalakshi Ammal. 24-04-2025 Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes
