O R D E R
Mr.Stalin Abhimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for R1 to R3 and is armed with necessary instructions to enable a final disposal of this matter, even at the stage of admission.
2. The petitioner is aggrieved by a patta that has been issued in respect of the land at S.No.8/4 Sokkathangal Village, Keelarungunam Panchayat, Marakkanam Taluk, Villupuram District (land in question) ad measuring 6 cents to the 4th respondent.
3. According to him, he is the owner of the land in question and hence the patta obtained by R4 is contrary to law and has been forged. Based on the alleged forged patta, R4 has approached the official respondents and obtained quarry lease and licence for quarrying of rough stone and gravel for a period of five years from March, 2020 to March, 2025 in the land at S.Nos.8/4C1, 8/7, 8/8 and 8/9 Chokkanthangal Village and S.F.Nos.10/11, 10/12, 11/1, 11/2A and 11/3, Nallmukkal Village, Marakkanam Taluk, which includes the land in question. 2/4
4. The petitioner has made a written representation for inspection of the lands for which quarry licence has been granted and sought intervention of the authorities. According to him, there has been no action taken thus far and hence filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to take necessary action against the 4th respondent. He states that a communication has been issued by R1 on 02.02.2024 directing inspection of the land.
5. Mr.Stalin states that the 4th respondent has been called for enquiry by R3, the Tahsildar/Committee Chairman, Taluk Level Task Force Committee today. He also states that R3 proposes to have inspection of the land in the joint presence of R4 and the petitioner which is tentatively scheduled on 14.06.2024. He assures the Court and the petitioner that post inspection, enquiry will be caused and necessary orders passed within a period of four (4) weeks from date of inspection, i.e., 14.06.2024, in accordance with law.
6. In my view this would suffice to alleviate the grievance expressed by the petitioner and the same is recorded for strict compliance as above. In light of the assurance extended by the learned Additional Government Pleader, there is no necessity to issue notice to R4 at this juncture, as the proceedings initiated by R3 have included R4 as well. 3/4

7. With this, the object of the Writ Petition stands achieved and the Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
