PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.189 of 2022 pending on the file of the respondent police, and file the final report within a fixed period of time.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.189 of 2022 pending on the file of the respondent police, and file the final report within a fixed period of time. 1/4

2.When the matter is taken up, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in Crime No.189 of 2022, no final report has been filed till date. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that, based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police has registered the FIR in Crime No.189 of 2022 , in which, investigation is under progress. Hence, he seeks two months time to file a final report before the Jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4.Recording the same, the respondent Police is directed to file the final report before the concerned Jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
