This petition has been filed seeking to extend the time for depositing a sum of Rs.2,000/- for each witnesses before the trial Court, as per the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.6709 of 2024 dated 21.03.2024.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was implicated in a criminal case for which he is facing trial before the learned Special Judge, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chengalpet. He further submitted that the prosecution witnesses were examined in chief, but P.W.2 to P.W.13 have not been cross examined by the defence. Hence, the petitioner has filed a petition under Section 311 Cr.P.C before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chengalpet to recall P.W.2 to P.W.13 and the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chengalpet, by an order dated 16.02.2024, had allowed the said petition with a condition to pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- to each witnesses directly. Against which, the petitioner has filed a modification petition in Crl.O.P.No.6709 of 2024 before this Court and this Court, by an order dated 21.03.

2024, had modified the said condition that the petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.2,000/- to each witnesses before the trial Court on or before 01.04.2024. Since the petitioner was having lot of health issues, he is unable to comply with the condition as imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for extension of time. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.
