..Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the third

respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and petitioner's property during the harvesting of the silk (soke) trees, and also sought necessary legal action against the private respondents. Based on the complaint dated 28.12.2024 made in CSR No.2015 of 2024. For Petitioners : Mr.R.Rajadurai For R1 to R3 : Mr.A.Gopinath, Government Advocate (crl.side).

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and the petitioner's property during the harvesting of the silk (soke) trees, and also to take necessary legal action against the private respondent, based on the complaint dated 28.12.2024 registered in CSR No.2015 of 2024.

2. Heard learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the third respondent is hereby directed to conduct an enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 28.12.2024, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and counter parties and dispose of the same within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, during the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the third respondent shall proceed as against the accused in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
