These applications have been filed for extension of Mandate of the Arbitrator.

2. The learned counsel for the applicant would submit that the Mandate of the arbitrator was expired on 06.06.2023. Therefore, the present application came to be filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that he has no objection in allowing this application and he further requests this Court that he may be permitted to raise an application before the Arbitrator under Section 16 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

4. Upon hearing the learned counsel on both sides and on perusing the affidavits filed in support of the applications, this Court is satisfied and is inclined to extend the Mandate of the Arbitrator. It is also made clear that once the Mandate of the Arbitrator is extended, it is for the respondent to file any application before the Arbitrator in accordance with law. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Page No.1/2

5. Accordingly, the Mandate of the Arbitrator is extended for a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order by the learned Arbitrator and hence, these applications are ordered as prayed for.
