This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to conduct enquiry and to pass final orders in the application filed by the petitioner u/s.63(b) of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 [hereinafter referred to as 'the Act'] to declare the petitioner as a hereditary trustee/Archakar of Sri Anjaneyaswamy Temple, Mothukalapalli Village, Krishnagiri District.

2. Heard Mr.P.Mani, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that an application was filed as early as in the year 2021 before the respondent u/s.63(b) of the Act to declare the petitioner as hereditary trustee/Archakar of the temple. Till date, the application has not been heard and disposed of and left with no other option, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the application 2/4

filed by the petitioner on 28.09.2021 on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with all relevant records and a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
