ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation and file final report within a stipulated time in Crime No.266 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the Crime No.266 of 2016 on 07.04.2016, no final report is filed till date.

3. Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of two months.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant. 2/4
