Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner for the post of Firemen Driver Gr.III pursuant to the notification made in No.1953/DFO/F1/2007 and the written examination dated 28.10.2012.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for the post of Firemen Driver Gr.III pursuant to the notification made in No.1953/DFO/F1/2007 and the written examination dated 28.10.2012.

2.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the relief sought for is against the Government of Puducherry and the matter relates to the service. Thus, this Court has no jurisdiction to entertain the present writ petition and the matter is to be filed by the petitioner before the Central Administrative Tribunal, Chennai Bench. 3.In view of the fact that the jurisdiction of this Court in respect of the service matters of Puducherry are ousted, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal for the purpose of redressing his grievances. 4.Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
