O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed to direct the first to third respondents to take disciplinary action and/or such appropriate other actions against Mr.P.Saravanan, Sub-Inspector of Police, E-5 Koovathur Police Station, Chengalpet District, the 4th respondent herein, for practicing caste and racial discrimination in violation of the Fundamental Rights guaranteed under article 14, 15, 17 and 21 of the Indian Constitutional law.
2. Based on the complaint lodged by the petitioners, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mamallapuram, conducted a detailed enquiry as directed by the second respondent, and by its report dated 22.04.2020 dropped the complaint with observation that based on the enquiry conducted with eye witness and other individual witnesses, the allegation made against the SubInspector of Police and other police persons of Koovathur, is false and
motivated one to suppress the action been taken by the police persons of Koovathur Police Station, in effectively enforcing prohibition and preventing rowdyism in the area. Therefore, no action will be taken on the allegations expressed by the petitioners herein.
3. Further, on the communication dated 08.07.2020, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mamallapuram, Chengalpet District sent a detailed enquiry report to the Inspector General of Police, Chennai. It revealed that all the complaints are motivated one against the Police officials when they vigilantly crack down on selling of RS or selling/cultivation of toddy, sand smuggling and rowdyism in the area. Therefore, the complaint lodged by the petitioners is already enquired and the same has been disposed of. Hence, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered and this petition is devoid of merits.
