[RESPONDENTS] Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents especially the first respondent to forward the name of the candidature of the petitioner as he having been selected for appointment to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector, Grade-II in Tamil Nadu Transport Subordinate Service of 20.6.2008 to the second respondent and consequently, direct the second respondent to give appointment order to the petitioner accordingly with relevant seniority and all service benefits.

Heard Mr.V.Balaji, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M.Devendran, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent and R.Lakshmi Narayanan, learned counsel appearing for second respondent and with the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the first respondent to forward his name for appointment to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector, Grade-II in Tamil Nadu Transport Subordinate Service of 20.6.2008 to the second respondent and consequently, direct the second respondent to give appointment order to him.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission by Memo dated 28.4.2015, has intimated the petitioner that the petitioner has been provisionally selected for the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector, Grade-I.

4.In the light of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of by recording the said proceedings dated 28.04.2015. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
