PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.8.2013 regarding grant of patta to the petitioner and orders thereon within a time frame.

Heard both and perused the records.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to grant patta based on the petitioner's representation.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that her mother Tmt.Alamelu Ammal purchased 7 cents of punja lands in S.No.31/5, Peramandur Village, Tindivanam Taluk by way of a registered sale deed ated 17.3.1968 and was in possession and enjoyment of the said property. According to the petitioner, she became the absolute owner of the said property by way of a settlement deed dated 12.11.2010 registered as document No.536 of 2010.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent has not issued patta in respect of the said land in favour of the petitioner despite giving a representation dated 12.8.2013.

5. The learned Government Advocate submits that the petitioner has not produced any proof for submission of any representation and that if a fresh application is given, it would be considered.

6. In the light of the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to give an application to the respondent along with payment of required fees within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such compliance, the respondent shall consider the same on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within three months therefrom after affording an opportunity to all necessary parties.
