O R D E R

(This Case has been heard through Video Conferencing) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 397, 506(ii) of IPC, in Crime No.1676 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution as per the de-facto complainant is that the petitioner along with other accused waylaid the defacto complainant and threatened him and also assaulted him with knife and snatched an amount of Rs.700/- from him.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would vehemently oppose stating that the petitioner is a habitual offender and the associate of A1 to A4 in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner has threatened the defacto complainant with knife point and demanded rowdy mamool and also assaulted him and robbed an amount of Rs.700/- from him. He would further submit that as far as this petitioner is concerned, he has got three (3) previous cases of similar nature pending against him.

5. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and also the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the petitioner has got three previous cases of similar nature and that the petitioner is a habitual offender, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6.This Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
