This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 02.04.2025 wherein the petitioner has sought for payment of Rs.19,76,068/- based on the proceedings of second respondent dated 03.10.2024.

2. Heard Mr.M.Loganathan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.E.Vijay Anand, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

The case of the petitioner is that he was given a work order dated 10.11.2017 by the third respondent for conducting Geo-Survey in 15 settlement villages to ensure protection of Tribes and other Traditional Forest Dwelling Communities under Forest Rights (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2016 and to enable them to get patta. The entire work was completed by the petitioner in the year 2018. A total sum of Rs.19,76,068/- is payable to the petitioner towards the work undertaken by the petitioner. Based on the representation made by the petitioner, the second respondent, through proceedings dated 03.10.2024 has already informed the first respondent that the petitioner has to be 2/4

paid a sum of Rs.19,76,068/- towards the work done by the petitioner. The same was not acted upon and the representations made in this regard also did not evoke any response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court and considering the proceedings of the second respondent dated 03.10.2024, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to pay the sum of Rs.19,76,068/- to the petitioner within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
