Respondents PRAYER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to award one more mark for the Question and Answer "In which language the song 'Vande Matharam' was written first" as Bengali correctly answered by the petitioner in TET examination conducted by the respondents in the year 2013 for the petitioner (Registered Roll No.13TE54210645).

O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents to award one more mark for the question and answer "in which language the song 'Vande matharam' was written first" as Bengali correctly answered by the petitioner in TET Examination conducted by the respondents in the year 2013 for the writ petitioner (Registered Roll No.13TE54210645).

2. In view of the fact that the examinations were conducted in the year 2013 and the writ petitioner filed the present writ petition on 11.9.2018, after the lapse of five years from the conduct of the examination, no adjudication https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

needs to be taken as the answer sheets of the respective candidates during the relevant point of time were evaluated and the results were declared long back.

3. Thus, the writ petition stands dismissed on the ground of laches. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
