O R D E R

The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioner in suitable place based on her request for Compassionate Appointment dated 14.03.2018.

2. Mr.J.Pothiraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. The petitioner's husband died on 14.01.2018. She submitted a representation dated 14.03.2018 before the second respondent requesting to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that separate seniority list is maintained for the purpose of providing compassionate appointment taking note of the genuineness and the indigenous family circumstances and the petitioner's name finds place as Serial No.2682 and this was communicated to the petitioner on 07.12.2020. The petitioner cannot march over the seniority list.

6. Hence, I find no reason to grant the relief, as the petitioner has been considered favourably and she is in the waiting list No.2682. As and when vacancies arise, the petitioner's case will be considered. The compassionate appointment shall be granted only to the Class IV post.

7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
