ORDER
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records in connection with the impugned order passed by the 2nd respondent in proceedings No.- Nil -, dated 07.11.2017 and to quash the same and consequently, to direct the 2nd respondent to permit the petitioner to participate in the next stage of selection and to select and appoint him as Lectures in Government Polytechnic College.
2.The Teacher Recruitment Board, Chennai (2nd respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
herein) issued Notification No.6/2017, dated 28.07.2017, calling for application for the post of Lecturers in Government Polytechnic. The petitioner has applied for the said post and participated in the examination conducted on 16.09.2017. He has secured 69 marks in the examination.
3.Mr.K.Venkataramani, learned Additional Advocate General, appearing for the respondents, by filing a counter, submitted that the cut off marks fixed by the respondents, for MBC Tamil Medium quota is 106 marks, whereas the petitioner herein has secured only 69 marks.
4.Secondly, the petitioner has not even studied his Post Graduation decree course in Tamil medium, as per the Notification dated 16.06.2017 issued by the 2nd respondent. Hence, the petitioner is not entitled to the relief sought for. In that view of the matter, the writ petition fails and the same is accordingly dismissed.
