ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an accused in Crime No.18 of 2020 for the offences under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC and he was granted bail by the Principal Sessions Judge, Thiruchirapalli by an order dated 07.01.2021 in Crl.M.P.No.18 of 2021. Thereafter, one Loganathan from Thirupathur District, using one Manikanda Prabhu has lodged another complaint before the Thirupathur Police for the same set of facts, for which, the petitioner was constantly harassed by the 2nd respondent police under the guise of enquiry.
3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side), would submit that the petitioner is an accused in Crime No.18/2020, which was investigated by the Central Crime Branch Police, Trichy and he was let out on bail on condition. One of the conditions is that the petitioner has to appear before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation. Now, a fresh complaint has been received from one Loganathan. The case in Crime No.18 of 2020 was investigated by the CCB, Trichy, and the same is no way connected and similar to the nature of offence, for which, now, the petitioner is needed for enquiry.
4. In view of the said submission, this Court finds that calling for the petitioner for enquiry cannot be termed as an harassment and hence this Criminal Original Petition is liable to be dismissed.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
