Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a writ of declaration, declaring the G.O (per) No.62 dated 30.03.2007 issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu (Labour and Employment Department) as Ultra vires of Article 14, 21 and 23 of Constitution of India and further direct the first respondent to abolish the "Camp Coolie System" in the Textile Mills of Erode, Coimbatore, Salem, Dindigul and other backward Districts of Tamil Nadu and take appropriate steps to protect the interests of Camp Coolies employed in the Textile Mills.
