Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Declaration declaring the acquisition proceedings initiated by the respondents under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Urban Land (Ceiling & Regulations) Act, 1978 in respect of the vacant land comprised in Old Survey No.40, Sub-divided Survey Nos.40/2A1 and 40/2B1, present Survey Nos.40/2A2 and 40/2B2 measuring 0.53 cents situated at Upplipalayam Village, now Coimbatore South Taluk, Coimbatore District stands abated in view of Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Land (Ceiling & Regulation) Repeal Act, 1999(Tamil Nadu Act 20 of 1999) and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to carry out the necessary corrections in the Revenue Records and issue patta in the name of the petitioner.
