T.V.THAMILSELVI,J., The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 174 of Cr.P.C and subsequently, it was altered into Section 498 A and 306 of IPC, in Crime No.Not known of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 03.06.2024, the fatherin-law of the petitioner has committed suicide by hanging in his house leaving a suicide note stating that the petitioner and his mother had a quarrel with him on 02.06.2024 which lead him to commit suicide. Hence, the case. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is no way connected with the death of his father-in-law and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence prays for grant of anticipatory bail.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner, suppressing his earlier marriage, married the daughter of the deceased and hence, there was a quarrel between the petitioner, his mother and the daughter of the deceased, due to which, the father-in-law of the petitioner, committed suicide which requires a 1/3

detailed investigation. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the nature of offence and the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that this case required a detailed investigation, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 11.06.2024 ssi 2/3
