O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 364(A) of IPC in Crime No.315 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is a case of kidnapping for ransom and this petitioner is absconding since the date of occurrence. As per the First Information Report, one Ramesh, Prabhu and Manoj have called the de-facto complainant over phone and informed her that they have kidnapped her husband and demanded an amount of Rs.5,00,000/- and if not given, they will kill her husband. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that based of the information the police has taken action against the accused persons. Further, he would submit that they have arrested A2 to A4, this petitioner, who is A1, the brain behind the crime. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel on either side and also considering the gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
