ORDER

(Order of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH,J.) Heard the petitioner-party in person and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.Haja Mohideen Gisti, learned counsel appearing for the District Legal Services Authority.

2. The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint specially trained women police officers not below the rank of Inspectors in each police station who shall not insist the presence of victim girls in the police station and shall go to the victims house in civilian dress to enquire and investigate the complaint of stalking and eve teasing which progress of enquiry/ investigation/ progress of the case shall be directly monitored by the commissioner of police and superintendent of police of respective Districts on a weekly review basis.

3. Subsequent to the direction issued by this court on 17.11.2017, now a status report has been filed with regard to the steps that are taken on the issue. Therefore, we are of the view that there appears to be compliance. Hence, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
