Writ Petition(Crl.) filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing Respondents 4 to 8 to provide adequate and effective police protection to the Petitioner company to enable it to peacefully carry on its lawful business operations in its three diagnostic centres situated at Thuraipakkam. Kottivakkam and Kelambakkam described in the petition schedule consequently direct Respondents 1 and 2, acting under the PCPNDT Act, to enforce the enquiry report dated 20.03.2026 and to restrain any unauthorized operation of the centres by third parties in violation of the provisions of the PCPNDT Act.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to Respondents 4 to 8 to provide adequate and effective police protection to the Petitioner company to enable it to peacefully carry on its lawful business operations in its three diagnostic centres situated at Thuraipakkam. Kottivakkam and Kelambakkam described in the petition schedule and consequently to direct Respondents 1 and 2, acting under the PCPNDT Act, to enforce the enquiry report dated 20.03.2026 and to restrain any unauthorized operation of the centres by third parties in violation of the provisions of the PCPNDT Act.

When this Court is about to dismiss this writ petition since police protection at the hands of the ninth respondent cannot be granted to the company to run its diagnostic centres when a civil suit is pending between the petitioner and the ninth respondent, the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition. An endorsement to that effect has also been

made in the case bundle.

In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. There shall be no order as to costs.
