O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to register the name of the petitioner as Class-I Contractor based on the application submitted by the petitioner on 04.05.2021.

2.When the matter was taken up for admission on 18.08.2021, this Court directed the learned Government Counsel to take instructions and report before this Court with regard to the stage of the scrutiny of the application submitted by the petitioner.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Counsel circulated the written instructions received from the respondent. It is seen from the written instructions that the respondent is in the process of scrutinizing the following:

a) Details of work experience submitted by the petitioner.

b) GST on-line filing certificate up to date (The petitioner has filed and submitted GST only up to March 2021) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

c) Details of Income Tax Returns submitted by him. d) Details of Machineries possessed by the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Counsel submitted that insofar as the first three items are concerned, the same will be processed and scrutinized and insofar as the fourth item is concerned, the petitioner will have to provide the details of the machineries that he posseses in order to carry out the works of the Highways Department.

5.Mr.V.P.Narayanan, A.D.E., Highways Department, NABARD Wing, Chengalpattu is also present at the time of hearing. 6.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that already all the details have been provided by the petitioner and the petitioner will once again provide the details of the machineries that he possess in order to enable the respondents to take a decision within the time frame fixed by this Court. 7.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the written instructions submitted by the respondents, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to furnish the details of the machineries possessed by him to carry out the work of the Highways Department. In the mean time, the respondents shall proceed to scrutinize all other available information and also the information that will be provided by the petitioner with regard to the machineries and a decision shall be taken on the application given by the petitioner, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

8.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No Costs.
