Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.07.2017 and change the petitioner's category from that Indian to that of NRI in the counseling for admission for MBBS/BDS courses 2017.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for the following relief : to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.07.2017 and change the petitioner's category from that Indian to that of NRI in the counselling for admission for MBBS/BDS courses 2017.

2. After notice, the matter is taken up for further hearing, today. The learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the third respondent submitted that the petitioner's claim has been considered and she will be treated as NRI and allowed to take part in the second round of counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses 2017.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner also submitted that pursuant to the filing of this writ petition, the petitioner is now allowed to take part in the second round of counselling against NRI quota in Deemed Universities Seats.

4. Recording the above said statements made by the respective counsels, this writ petition is closed, as no further orders is necessary. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
