This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent, namely, The Principal, Sri Balaji Medical College, Chennai, to admit the petitioner in MBBS course for the academic year 2018-19 based on the Provisional Allotment Letter (Round - MopUp) dated 20.08.208 issued by the second respondent.

2. It is well settled by both this Court as well as the Apex Court that in the matters of M.B.B.S. Admissions, all admissions are to be made on or before 31st August of every year. In the present case, when the last date, namely, the cut off date i.e. 31.08.2018 was already over by 68 days ago, this Court is unable to entertain the Writ Petition. 3.

In the result, the Writ Petition fails and the same is accordingly dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
