Mr.A.Tamilvanan, learned Additional Government Pleader (P) accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to enable a final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.

2. The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the respondents, specifically R1 and R2 to issue Nativity Certificate based on his application.

3. Mr.Tamilvanan would accede to the receipt of online application dated 15.05.2024. He would assure the Court as well as the petitioner that R2, being the Tahsildar, Puducherry will consider the application of the petitioner and dispose the same within a period of one week.

4. Hence, mandamus is issued to R2 to consider the application of the petitioner, hear her, if R2 intends to reject the application, and pass orders either by issuance of Nativity Certificate or otherwise, within a period of one (1) week from today, in accordance with law and all applicable Government Orders, Rules and Regulations.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed as above. No costs. 2/4
