This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to mutate the revenue records with respect to the subject property in favour of the petitioner.
2. It is seen from the records that the 2nd respondent has already held an enquiry and passed an order on 4.2.2020 to the effect that the name of the petitioner must also be included in the joint patta. Subsequently, the 2nd respondent has sent the proposal to the 1st respondent to effect mutation in the revenue records. The grievance of the petitioner is that thereafter there was no progress and left with no other alternative, the present writ petition hs been filed before this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Govt. Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent has called the petitioner for an enquiry on 22.10.2020 at 3 p.m. and necessary changes will be made in the revenue records within the time frame fixed by this Court.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the 2nd respondent has already conducted an enquriy and recommended for the inclusion of the name of the petitioner in the joint patta, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to complete the process within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This Writ Petition is allowed with the above directions. No costs.
