Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2021 and consequently direct the 1st respondent to include the petitioner's name in the seniority considering the date of joining the service and promote the petitioner to the adequate rank in the Tamil Nadu Police Department based on the date of joining service and further disburse the withheld salary and
other allowances during the suspension and punishment period within a time period fixed by this Court.

ORDER

By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal and is disposed of by this order.

Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents.

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking for a Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2021 and consequently direct the 1st respondent to include the petitioner's name in the seniority considering the date of joining the service and promote the petitioner to the adequate rank in the Tamil Nadu Police Department based on the date of joining service and further disburse the withheld salary and other allowances during the suspension and punishment period within a time period fixed by this Court.

This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and also perused the materials placed before it.

This Court, considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation or the case projected by him in this writ petition, directs the respondents 1 to 3 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 05.07.2021 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
