Respondents Prayer :

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 4 to comply and disperse the payment due to the petitioner for the contract awarded in the proceedings of the 1st respondent Lr.4543/C8/2019 and in accordance with sanction order issued by the 1st respondent in his proceedings RC No.4543/C8/2019 dated 10.08.2020 and 23.08.2020, within a time frame stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse the payment to the petitioner pursuant to the sanction accorded by the first respondent through proceedings dated 10.08.2020 and 23.08.2020.

Mr.E.Balamurugane, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the first respondent has already sanctioned the payment to be made to the petitioner after the completion of work and there is some financial crunch faced by the respondents and therefore some time may be granted to the respondents to make the payments to the petitioner.

Taking into consideration, the facts and circumstances of the case and also the specific stand taken by the respondents, the respondents are directed to make the necessary payment that has already been sanctioned in favour of the petitioner, within the period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
